Register Now For The 2017 Marion SWCD Mural Contest:
Forests for People … more than you can imagine!
Teachers and activity leaders, it’s that time of year again; time to register for the Marion SWCD mural competition.
Students from kindergarten to fifth grade may participate. Teams must have at least five students and no more than 30. Teams must have one adult supervisor. Registration is required. Team leaders must submit registration forms by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7.
Marion SWCD will provide each team with all the materials needed to take part in the event. These include; educational workbooks, activity filled coloring books, a teacher’s guidebook, mural paper and crayons. Every student will win prizes.
Teams with winning entries will receive special gifts and earn the school or organization $100 for educational supplies or equipment.

The purpose of this contest is to make conservation learning fun. It was created for groups/teams of children in grades K-5 that are attending schools (public, private or home-based), after-school programs, Girl’s/Boy’s Clubs, Scouts, or other kid-based organization. Teams must reside within the boundaries of the Marion SWCD in Marion County, Oregon.
Adult LEADERS (aged 18 years or older) must register their team(s) in order to participate. The district will provide all materials needed for the contest. Prizes will be award to contest winners.
