Take advantage of a Marion Soil & Water Conservation District tradition! We hold a Native Plant & Tree Sale each March to encourage more people to use native plants in their yards, on their farms, or at their businesses. Native plants help to enhance your yard or garden by providing food and shelter for birds and other wildlife. Also, once established, they require less water and maintenance as they are already adapted to our climate and soils!
9th Annual
Native Plant and Tree Sale
Proceeds fund two scholarships for students studying Natural Resources.
	March 11, 2011 10:00am to 6:00pm
	March 12, 2011 9:00am to 1:00pm
Sale will be located at: To Be Announced
At the sale, we feature deciduous and evergreen plants, shrubs and trees. Most of the shrub and tree stock will be sold as bare root seedlings, and the flowering plants will be sold in pots. Plant prices range from $1 to $6, and our variety is hard to beat. There is no minimum purchase required and plants will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Our staff and volunteers will assist you with questions about the plants and provide labels for the plants that are sold.
We are working hard to create a wonderful selection of plants for the 2011 sale.  Please check back in January2011, or look in the winter newsletter for the 2011 plant list.

Availability of species may be limited due to uncontrollable growing conditions (weather, etc.)
