SUMMARY:Conservation Spotlight: Joe Scott
DESCRIPTION:On this episode of Conservation Spotlight\, Polk SWCD staff chat with Joe Scott. Joe is the Teaching and Learning Coordinator for the Traditional Ecological Inquiry Program. He will talk about the role that fire plays in managing the landscape and the resulting ecological benefits. He’ll also discuss using storytelling as a means to pass along traditional ecological knowledge and bridging that with contemporary insight on land management. \nThe Conservation Spotlight is a radio segment shining light on partnerships and programs for natural resources that airs on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 am as part of the weekly Willamette Wake Up radio program on KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM. Marion SWCD shares the Spotlight with Polk SWCD and OSU Extension Service Small Farms Program.
