SUMMARY:Conservation Spotlight
DESCRIPTION:The Conservation Spotlight is a radio segment shining light on partnerships and programs for natural resources that airs on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 am as part of the weekly Willamette Wake Up radio program on KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM. Marion SWCD shares the Spotlight with Polk SWCD (and previously with OSU Extension Service Small Farms Program). \nIn this episode\, we dive into the issues of water quality and safe pesticide use in agriculture. With rising concerns over sustainability and food safety\, understanding how these factors impact our ecosystems and communities is more important than ever. Tune in to hear insights from agriculture conservation planners Becky Pineda and Cesar Zamora on effective partnerships and best practices to protect our watersheds and ensure a sustainable future. \nhttps://kmuz.org/shows/willamette-wakeup
