SUMMARY:First Friday: Finding Balance - Wildfire Preparedness and Wildlife Habitat
DESCRIPTION:Being prepared for wildfire and supporting wildlife are two landscaping goals that may seem to be at odds. Marion SWCD’s Kassi Roosth (urban conservation) and Chelsea Blank (natural areas) will walk you through the main considerations and discuss how achieving both is possible. \nFirst Fridays are held on the first Friday of every month (except July) from 12-1 pm via Zoom. Join Marion SWCD staff and subject matter experts to learn something new about soil and water conservation and a wide array of related topics. \nIf you need special accommodations\, including translation services\, in order to participate\, please call the event coordinator at 503-949-4709 or email heath.keirstead@marionswcd.net as far in advance as possible.
