SUMMARY:Board of Directors Information Session
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever considered serving your community through local conservation leadership? \nJoin Marion Soil and Water Conservation District for a virtual\, Board of Directors Information Session to learn about the role of Soil and Water Conservation District board members\, the upcoming election process\, and what it means to serve as a local conservation leader. Hear first-hand from current board members\, who will provide an overview of board responsibilities\, candidate requirements\, and the time commitment involved\, with opportunities to ask questions and learn more about the district’s work. \nThe Marion SWCD Board of Directors is made up of seven elected volunteers who help guide the district’s conservation programs and priorities. Individuals with a wide range of backgrounds\, experiences\, and skill sets are encouraged to learn more. \nWhether you’re interested in running for a position or simply want to better understand the role of the Board\, we encourage you to attend. \nRegistration is required to participate.\nRegister at: https://bit.ly/swcd-board-26\nThis joint information session is a collaboration between East Multnomah\, West Multnomah\, Clackamas\, Marion and Upper Willamette Soil and Water Conservation Districts.  \nIf you have questions about this event or if you need special accommodations to participate\, please contact the event coordinator: Amy Zimmer\, Communication Outreach Specialist at amy.zimmer@marionswcd.net or 503.949.4709
