At WMSWCD\, Mary has managed a wide array of urban conservation and restoration programs\, has served as the Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion Committee co-chair\, managed the creation of the district’s new 5-year strategic plan\, held the position of Interim District Manager\, co-authored the Meadowscaping handbook\, and has recently taken on management of the District’s education and grant programming along with serving as Climate Change Strategic Direction lead with her organization.

DESCRIPTION:The Conservation Spotlight is a radio segment shining light on partnerships and programs for natural resources that airs on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 am and 6 pm as part of the weekly Willamette Wake Up radio program on KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM. Marion SWCD shares the Spotlight with Polk SWCD and OSU Extension Service Small Farms Program. \nOwen Dell\, RLA\, ASLA is an award-winning\, internationally admired landscape architect\, author and educator. Owen has been part of the landscaping profession since 1971\, and he has played a key role in the development of many of the practices of sustainable landscaping currently in use.
