SUMMARY:Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kit Giveaway
DESCRIPTION:Marion Soil and Water Conservation District (Marion SWCD) is offering Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kits to help community spaces create pockets of native habitat that support pollinators\, wildlife\, and healthy ecosystems throughout Marion County. \nThrough the LHP Community Kit giveaway\, Marion SWCD is working to expand habitat connections by providing native plants for community sites interested in establishing or enhancing native plant areas. These kits offer an opportunity to add biodiversity\, support local wildlife\, and help connect people and places through conservation. \nWho Can Participate:\nThe Little Habitat Project\, is open to anyone in Marion County. However\, this year’s Community Kits are intended specifically for community sites and shared spaces that can create habitat connections for people and wildlife. Eligible locations may include schools\, parks\, neighborhood groups\, community organizations\, and other public-facing spaces. \nWhat’s Included: \nEach LHP (Community) Kit includes three plants of ten native species selected for Willamette Valley oak and prairie habitats\, these include: \nNodding onion\nColumbia lily\nShowy milkweed\nOceanspray\nCreeping Oregon grape\nThimbleberry\nWestern columbine\nPrairie junegrass\nMountain strawberry\nSelf-heal \nLearn More and Submit a Little Habitat (Community) Kit Request Here!\n________________________________________________________________ \nQuestions?
