SUMMARY:Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kit Pickup Day
DESCRIPTION:Marion Soil and Water Conservation District (Marion SWCD) is excited to provide Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kits to community spaces throughout Marion County. These kits support the creation of small pockets of native habitat that help support pollinators\, wildlife\, and healthy ecosystems. \nApproved Community Kit recipients are invited to pick up their native plant kits and begin creating habitat connections in their communities. Each kit includes a selection of native plants chosen for Willamette Valley oak and prairie habitats\, providing an opportunity to add biodiversity and connect people and places through conservation. \nPickup Information: \nDate: October 30th\, 2026\nLocation: Marion Soil and Water Conservation District Office\, 408 N. Third Ave\, Stayton\, OR 97383\nPickup Details:\nDuring pickup\, Community Kit recipients will receive their plants to establish their habitat project. Here’s the process at a glance: \n1. Find your zone\nUse the SWCD Zone Map to confirm you live in an open zone. \n2. Complete the write-in form\nDownload and complete the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s write-in candidate form. \n3. Submit your form by October 20\nYour completed form must be submitted to the Oregon Department of Agriculture by 5:00 p.m. on October 20\, 2026. \n4. Participate in the November 3 election\nOnce the write-in filing process is complete\, your name will be eligible to receive write-in votes for the position. The candidate receiving the most votes for the position is elected. \n5.
