DESCRIPTION:This event is only open to adults ages 18+. \nBeginning boater adults (ages 18+) will learn how to safely kayak and canoe. Kayaks for this event are provided by Oregon Kayak Tours (OKT). Users of OKT kayaks must be less than 260 pounds and under 6’3″.  Rentals come with waterway access permit\, certified PFD\, whistles\, and paddles. \nThis is an Our River event hosted by Mid-Willamette Outreach Group\, Through Our River events\, everyone is invited to connect with the Willamette in fun and thoughtful ways. \nEvent Partners: Willamette Riverkeeper\, Oregon State Parks\, Oregon Marine Board and Oregon Kayak Tours. A fun\, free event for local explorations this Spring Break! \n\nVisit Keizer Rapids Park to learn about the water treatment system in the City of Keizer.\nVisit historic Wheatland Ferry and learn about the history of river travel in Marion County.\nVisit Ankeny Hill Nature Center to learn about wildlife habitat and the impacts of pollution and what you can do from US Fish & Wildlife Service.\nVisit Riverfront Park to learn about City of Salem’s drinking water and waste water and the many fun things to do at this park.\nVisit Downtown Stayton to learn about the curious history of the Salem Ditch\, visit a covered bridge\, play BINGO and check out the vintage treasures and tasty eats and treats Stayton has to offer.\n\nThis play-at-your-own pace adventure is part of Winter Wildlife Field Days and World Water Day.

DESCRIPTION:Beginning boater adults (ages 18+) will learn how to safely kayak and canoe. Kayaks for this event are provided by Salem Kayak Rentals (SKR). Users of SKR kayaks must be less than 260 pounds and under 6’3″.  Rentals come with waterway access permit\, certified PFD\, whistles\, and paddles. \nThis is an Our River event hosted by Mid-Willamette Outreach Group\, Through Our River events\, everyone is invited to connect with the Willamette in fun and thoughtful ways. \nEvent Partners: Oregon State Parks\, Oregon Marine Board and Salem Kayak Rentals.
