marionswcd | March 16, 2026

Join Colin Park (USDA) and Max Ragozzino, (ODA) for a summary of on-going efforts to use tiny stingless wasps to help control Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Meet the bio-control ‘agents’, learn how they are produced, how they do their work of finding and controlling EAB infestations, how can you get involved and what will this mean for ash trees near you?

  • Colin Park is a USDA Plant Health Safeguarding Specialist in Oregon and began organizing EAB detection work in the state and overseeing pest bio-control programs in 2007.
  • Max Ragozzino is the Oregon Department of Agriculture Bio-control Entomologist who manages invasive insect biological control since 2020. He has worked on emerald ash borer bio-control since 2015.
