Small Farm School
September 16 @ 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Small Farm School is an annual, full-day learning event designed for both beginning and experienced small-scale farmers. Participants can choose from a variety of hands-on workshops and classroom sessions covering practical topics for managing and growing a small farm.
Course topics vary each year and may include crop and livestock management, farm equipment, business and marketing, soil health, and water conservation. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to build on your existing knowledge, Small Farm School offers an opportunity to learn practical skills, explore new topics, and connect with other small-scale farmers.
Marion SWCD will be tabling at this year’s event! Stop by our table to connect with District staff, learn more about local conservation resources and programs, and find out how we can support your farm.
Registration is now open. Visit the 2026 Workshop Schedule to view class offerings and register.
