Conservation Spotlight on the Radio

The Conservation Spotlight is a radio segment shining light on partnerships and programs for natural resources that airs on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 AM as part of the weekly Willamette Wake Up radio program on KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM. Marion SWCD shares the Spotlight with Polk SWCD .

Conservation Spotlight talks with Ashley Chesser, Wild Farm Alliance–Oregon, to explore the Farmland Flyways program. They explore how this innovative initiative helps farmers create vital bird habitat along migration routes—giving birds the resources they need while delivering real benefits back to the farm. From supporting biodiversity to providing natural pest control, Ashley shares how working with birds is a win-win for agriculture and conservation.
