For the next several years the MSWCD will be focusing efforts to help improve water quality on the Headwaters of the Pudding River.
This program is a collaboration with the Oregon Department of Agriculture to help improve water quality runoff from agricultural lands.
If you are in the focus area and would like information on conservation resources that we offer please contact mark.akimoff@marionswcd.net or call 503-391-9927.
Soil erosion from bare ground in fields could lead to a loss of yield and increasing farmer inputs. The impacts of sediment into Headwaters of the Pudding River from farms with bare ground has negative impacts that can be felt far downstream. The Marion Soil and Water Conservation District has resources available to help producers avoid negative impacts to the watershed.
