The Marion Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as our Office Support and Accounts Payable Assistant.

Are you skilled at managing the details that ensure a professional office operates efficiently? Do you take pride in clear communication, timely execution, and maintaining financial accuracy? This multifaceted position combines reception, bookkeeping, and essential administrative support to help advance our mission: thriving lands, clean water, and healthy habitats. We are seeking a dependable and organized individual who will play a vital role in sustaining the daily functions that support our team and the communities we serve.

Position Highlights

  • Greet visitors and support a welcoming, responsive office environment.
  • Process vendor invoices, track payments, and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, minute-taking, and records retention in accordance with public agency standards.
  • Help support Board of Directors meetings, Zoom administration, and official communications.
  • Manage mail, office supplies, and travel logistics.
  • Support District programs, events, and staff with administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or office administration (QuickBooks experience highly desired).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A team player who is adaptable, reliable, and mission driven.
