Join Marion Soil and Water Conservation District for a hands-on volunteer event helping package native wildflower seeds for free community giveaways!

Volunteers will help prepare packets of Willamette Valley Native Annual Wildflower Mix seeds, produced by Heritage Seedlings, that will be shared with community members to support native plants, pollinators, birds, and healthy habitats throughout Marion County.

No experience is needed—just bring your willingness to help! Volunteers will learn more about the importance of native plants and have the opportunity to take home native seeds as a thank-you for participating.

The wildflower mix includes a variety of native annual species that provide nectar and pollen for native bees, butterflies, beetles, flies, and other beneficial insects; several species also support birds and wildlife. Many of these flower’s bloom from late spring through summer and are well suited for sunny landscapes.
