Lolium multiflorum
Annual ryegrass is an annual or short-lived perennial grass, growing up to 4ft. This grass flowers from May to September and is often sown in the fall or spring, with a hardiness zone between 4-8. In Oregon, annual ryegrass is used as turf, pasture, and as a cover crop, though it can invade prairies, grasslands, and agricultural areas. It can develop herbicide resistance, making it difficult to control.
