Drymocallis glandulosa
Sticky cinquefoil is a perennial herb in the rose family, widely distributed across western North America in habitats ranging from dry meadows and open forests to rocky slopes. It is named for its glandular, sticky-hairy stems and leaves, which can deter herbivory. The plant produces clusters of white-to-yellow, five-petaled flowers from late spring through summer, providing nectar and pollen for native bees and other pollinators. Adapted to a variety of soil types and moisture conditions, sticky cinquefoil is an ecologically versatile species with a long bloom time and striking flowers.
