Please join Travis Brown, hydrogeologist with the Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD), for an overview of groundwater resources in Marion County. This presentation will explore the different types of aquifers found across the county, how groundwater is managed at the state and county levels, general groundwater level trends, and areas of concern.

Groundwater is an important resource for communities, agriculture, ecosystems, and other water needs throughout the state. This presentation will provide an opportunity to better understand groundwater within Marion County, including where groundwater comes from, how it is managed, and what current trends can tell us about this important resource.

Speaker Bio:
Travis Brown has worked as a hydrogeologist for the Oregon Water Resources Department since 2018, focusing on the Willamette Valley. He earned a Master of Science degree in Hydrology from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the College of Wooster.
