Crataegus douglasii
Douglas’ hawthorn is a small, slow-growing, incredibly hardy tree or large shrub with clusters of small white flowers in spring. In autumn, ¼ inch black-purple fruit are prized by birds and other wildlife. Impressive thorns can grow to 2″ long. Pollinators and hummingbirds like the flowers.
