Brodiaea elegans
Elegant brodiaea is a perennial, bulbous wildflower native to open meadows, grasslands, and rocky slopes of western North America. It produces narrow, grass-like leaves at the base and tall, slender stalks that bear clusters of striking violet to purple, tubular flowers in late spring to early summer. These flowers attract native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, playing an important role in local ecosystems. Adapted to well-drained soils and full sun, elegant brodiaea is drought-tolerant and contributes to the beauty and ecological diversity of native meadow and hillside plant communities.
