Marion SWCD’s Cover Crop Assistance Grant helps landowners and operators offset the costs of installing cover crops, with the goal of reducing soil erosion and promoting soil health throughout the district.

Funding can help offset seed, labor, and equipment costs associated with planting cover crops.

Awards are provided on a per-acre basis, with a limit of $10,000 per entity, per fiscal year under current district financial policies.

2026–2027 Application Period: August 1–October 31, 2026, or until all available funds have been allocated***.
