Penstemon serrulatus
Cascade penstemon is a perennial wildflower native to the moist forests and coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest. It produces abundant spikes of tubular, deep purple to violet flowers in late spring to early summer, which are highly attractive to native bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. The plant has lance-shaped, serrated leaves and grows in well-drained soils, often on slopes, forest edges, or rocky outcrops. Cascade penstemon contributes to understory diversity, supports pollinator populations, and adds vibrant color and structural interest to native plant communities.
