Coast Gooseberry

Plant Description

A deciduous shrub with sharp spines and lobed, toothed leaves that have hairy undersides and hanging bell-shaped red-and-white flowers that attract hummingbirds. It has purplish-black berries that are acidic, but sweet and juicy. They are eaten by birds and other wildlife.
