Cover Crop Assistance (CCA) Grant Application Cycle
Marion SWCD’s Cover Crop Assistance Grant helps landowners and operators offset the costs of installing cover crops, with the goal of reducing soil erosion and promoting soil health throughout the district. The 2026–2027 Application Period is August 1–October 31, 2026, or until all available funds have been allocated***.
C.L.E.A.R. Grant Application Cycle Deadline
Marion SWCD’s Conservation Learning Education and Resource (C.L.E.A.R.) Grant Program provides funding for projects and events that support the district’s mission to partner with people in support of thriving lands, clean water, and healthy habitats.
Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kit Pickup Day
Marion SWCD is excited to provide Little Habitat Project (LHP) Community Kits to community spaces throughout Marion County. On October 30th, Community Kit recipients will receive their plants to establish their habitat project. Please plan to pick up your kit during the designated pickup window or arrange a self-service pickup from the office parking lot no later than Sunday, November 8th.
Stan Vistica Memorial Scholarship: Open November 1st – March 1st
The Marion Soil and Water Conservation District (Marion SWCD) Stan Vistica Memorial Scholarship supports eligible Marion County high school graduates as they continue their education and prepare for careers in natural resources. Application period: November 1, 2026–March 1, 2027
